Play Therapy Practitioner Sessions are therapeutic play sessions to work on challenges and difficulties in a safe environment with a trusted adult. Some common difficulties play sessions can support: social skills, emotional regulation, attachment challenges, impulse control, self advocacy, identifying emotions, and processing/expressing emotions. Therapeutic play sessions may be best for your child if they struggle in a group setting with peers and would benefit more from one-on-one interaction, have had traumatic experiences that impact their emotional regulation, struggle to express their emotions in healthy ways, or are getting into trouble in social interactions at school and could utilize additional social support.

Click here to book a Free 30-Minute Consultation with me to discuss your currents needs, hopes, and challenges, as well as the specific support you are looking for, to ensure I would be a good fit for you and your child.
2.  Email & Forms
I will then send you a follow-up email  including  a brief summary of what was discussed, upcoming availability for our first session, and any Onboarding Paperwork (Parent Interview form, Payment Agreement, New Client Contract).  The forms must be completed before our first scheduled session, so keep that in mind when scheduling. The Parent Interview Form will include questions regarding specific goals you have in mind, as well as your child's strengths, interests, social/emotional development, and current challenges.. This will support my understanding of your child as a whole, and to support the tailoring of our Interactions and Sessions when your child and I meet.
3. Therapeutic Play Session (45 minutes)
These sessions will be up to 45 minutes long, and will be completely individualized and tailored to your child's play style and preferences.  I will utilize the information given to me from the Parent Interview form to tailor my interaction style in a play session with your child. Using a child-led approach, I will follow their lead and utilize Play in order to create a safe environment where your child can freely express themselves and  we can work on whatever skills or challenges needs to be addressed, as they organically occur through their play.
